i learnt “nadi shodhana” pranayama (also known as alternate nostril breathing) from my beautiful and inspiring ayurvedic practioner (if you’re in or near brisbane and want to heal your mind, body and soul from an angel email me for her details). my whole nervous system was absolutely shook on so many levels last year and this was one of many rituals and techniques she prescribed to me to get rebalanced. i would do it for at least 10 minutes 3 x a day. i’d come out of it feeling like i’d just taken 2 valium and able to get on with my daily tasks in a more focused, calm and present way.

her 10 year old son who had struggled with ADHD and sinusitis pretty much cured 95% of the symptoms with daily nadi shodhana and now teaches the technique to his classmates and also has video tutorials on his mothers facebook page!
