liver rejuvenation smoothie

i've been on a bit of liver health journey this year and thought i'd share this really powerful liver cleansing breakfast smoothie recipe from a book called harmonic healing. a healthy liver is crucial for overall health and well-being. it helps regulate metabolism, remove harmful toxins, produce essential proteins, store important vitamins and minerals, makes new blood, supplies you with energy, among many other functions. this liver cleansing breakfast smoothie can be a great way to cleanse and support the liver's function and maintain your overall health, happy hormones, glowy skin and radiance.

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 grapefruit

  • 1 lemon

  • 1 inch chunk of ginger

  • 1 clove garlic

  • a couple pinches of cayenne pepper

  • 1-2 tbsp olive oil

  • 2 tbsp flaxseed

  • chia seeds for garnish

  • water

peel and cut up all ingredients and blend. i like to finish with a little sprinkle of chia seeds on top. enjoy!
